Here's the finest 1st. generation vette, and the last one of them,
since it changed it's style in 1963 with the introduction of the
Sting Ray. Why the '61 model? 'cause is my favourite model of the 1st.
generation vettes, it was wider than the previous models and it was the
first one where the "ducktail" was introduced, and the classic four
tail lights, a corvette trademark up to date.
This was the fastest of them all back then, with the small block 283ci
V8 offering 315hp@6200rpm, with the optional Rochester-Ramjet mechanic
fuel injection intake, raising the compression up to 11.0:1. The
performance of this engine was 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, 14.2sec@99mph for
the quarter mile with a 4.11 rear end, and a top speed of 130mph.
The only big problem that the vette had back then where the drum
brakes, not good enough, even considering the weight of the car
(only 1.3 tons, it was made of plastic! LOL). Amongst other options it
came with power windows, 4-speed transmission, positraction rear axle
and a removable hardtop.

This model features all the color options* available for the '61 model
back then, as well as the whitewall Firestone tires. Some changes that
I've made to the original model is the engine, it has a 327 4-brl
instead of the 283, and the steering wheel is from a '67 Sting Ray
(took it from MCO), and improved physics and handling.

* To change the color, just copy the .tif file inside each color folder
into the tiffrgb dir, replace it with the original and you're set,
remember to delete the PIX16 folder if it's there.
To change the tires, do the same thing.

Thanks to Stecki (http://www.stecki.racesim.net/) for the wonderful
driver.

Enjoy it!
